Ethics, Values, and Commitment

At Jalayimiya, we’ve grown from a swimwear label into a lifestyle brand that celebrates culture, comfort, and confidence. Every piece — from sculpted swim to softly structured linen — is created for women who’ve grown into their power and want clothing that moves with them, not against them.

Our story is one of evolution — from the shoreline to everyday life. What began as a collection of statement swimwear has become a reflection of how real women live, love, and dress today: with ease, intention, and pride.

Rooted in Culture. Designed for Every Body.

Founded in 2022 by Brodie George, a proud Walmajarri woman from Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley, Jalayimiya’s designs are shaped by her connection to Country and the bright desert art of her mob. The name “Jalayimiya” honours her Aboriginal name, carrying stories of identity, belonging, and resilience.

Through each collection, we share these stories in modern form — wearable art that honours Country and celebrates the beauty of real bodies. Our photoshoots are unretouched, featuring Aboriginal women, friends, and family — women of every curve, age, and background — because representation isn’t a trend, it’s our truth.

The New Era of Jalayimiya

As we evolve, so does our design philosophy.
Our new chapter introduces slow-made clothing — timeless linen sets, relaxed tailoring, and pieces that flow between beach and everyday life. Each garment is designed with the same care as our swimwear: true-to-size, thoughtfully cut, and made to feel good on the body.

We’re listening to you — the women who told us what makes them feel confident, held, and seen. You asked for comfort that still feels elevated. We listened.

Sustainability with Soul

Our commitment to sustainability runs deep — not as a slogan, but as a promise.
We create with purpose: using eco-conscious materials, ethical production, and designs that last beyond a single season. Our pieces are made to be cherished, repaired, and re-worn — fashion that honours both people and planet.

Community, Connection & Cultural Storytelling

The Jijahood — our community of women — sits at the heart of everything we do.
From workshops in Fitzroy Crossing to national runways and global features in Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, Jalayimiya stands for more than style; it’s a platform for cultural storytelling, representation, and empowerment.

Our Promise to You

As we step into this next era, our promise remains simple:
To design with meaning.
To represent with honesty.
To create pieces that make you feel at home in your body.

Whether you wear Jalayimiya to reconnect with culture, celebrate your shape, or simply enjoy the ease of beautifully made clothing — you’re part of a movement that proves fashion can be ethical, inclusive, and deeply human.
